Threshing the Wheat - MW Class

MW kids are impressed to see that threshing really works--and what fun to have permission to "beat and beat and beat!"

Gathering Eggs from the Chicken Coop - T/Th Class

Gathering eggs was one of my favorite jobs as a kid on our family farm. Students below take turns gathering eggs from our classroom chicken coop. (Hard boiled, of course!)Alexis and Hannah

"Cluck, cluck!" Our hen house is less dusty than the one I grew up with and the hens aren't as noisy. But it's perfect for a preschool classroom! Ethan

Feeding Arizona's "snowbirds!"

To our delight, many birds flocked to our classroom bird feeder this winter. Look closely to see the little birds lining the back wall.
Patrick and Ethan enjoyed spying each other as much as trying to spy birds!

Tyler, Ethan, and Reagan using their homemade binoculars to spot winter fowl . . .or perhaps it was a passing airplane. ;)

Trenton, Ethan, and Reagan(photo below), hoping to entice birds, spread seeds around the preschool yard.

Writing in Snow - T/Th Class

Well, our snow smells more like shaving cream. :) Below students draw circles and snowmen. However, getting messy was probably the best part!

Writing in Snow - M/W Class

This kind of "snow" is great for drawing, it isn't cold, and it doesn't melt!
